Sharks sign Courtney Belger, ex Schalke

SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks (NBL) signed 31-year old American guard Courtney Belger (187cm-88kg-89, college: Quincy) for upcoming 2021 season. He joins another USA player Daniel Alexander who is already in the roster.
Belger has played for the last four seasons at FC Schalke 04 in German Folded. In 27 ProA games he had 13.7ppg, 4.4rpg, 4.0apg and 1.6spg previous season. 2019-2020 was a great year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga Pro A Honorable Mention.
He has played previously professionally also in Australia (Suns) and Germany (Itzehoe and Ibbenbueren).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the 2.Bundesliga Pro B Semifinals in 2018. Belger was also voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian SBL Defensive Player of the Year back in 2017.
Belger attended Quincy University until 2012 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
